I've just been looking at Ethernut
http://www.ethernut.de/en/index.html
Development kits come in at 190 euros (130quid) - and populated boards
come in at 108quid.
In saying that the older v1.3 board when ordered in bulk came in at as
little as 48quid..so I suspect the v2.0 board will ultimately be
available in such bulk quantity prices.
It looks like it's Atmel AVR based.
Personally I'm trying to find something nice to marry up with a one of
Ian's Noritake VFD displays - to make a nice xPL display for the house.
(Much like Steve did - only without using a MSS100. Don't ask
why....it's just "because", right!).
