OK - now I get your point.

> Are you sure you can integrate it fully with something like xlobby?

I'm not sure at all!! Somebody who used xlobby might be able to give you
more info on this. All I know is that the Slimp3 interface is open and
very easy to integrate with. It will depend on what option xlobby
provides for integrating with other sources/applications.

Except, as you point out, the display and the IR remote. In some ways
the exstreamer is excellent for discrete installs.

> Is there? Also price wise it is not that much difference.

No - not really - but don't forget that the Slimp3 VFD can be used for
more than just music information display !!
You can get any kind of messaging you like on there. Caller ID when the
phone rings, "new email" alerts etc etc...
So it's kinda like a MP3 decoder and info display all in one neat little
package.
If the exstreamer is 50quid cheaper.......is it 50quid better value??
All depends on what you want, what you want it for, and what you want to
pay.

> How about sound quality?.

I've never heard the exstreamer. The Slimp3 is good (IMHO) - though like
most MP3 devices it'll sound awful if you feed poorly encoded MP3. They
ran a comparison test at UKHA2003 last year...it'd be worth digging out
the results.

Cheers,
Rob
