120GB IDE Hard disk = £50

Then either:

5.25" bay caddy = £10

or

External USB/firewire enclosures = from about £30-£50 ish...

Much better transfer rate than either tape or optical, *far* cheaper than
any large capacity tape system, re-usable media....

You know it makes sense....
