RE: ADSL router + wireless

I'm looking for something similar

I had wondered if a router with builtin VPN was the way to go?
I'd like to make access to server/MV1000/Tivo etc secure across the net,
but am not sure of the compatibility issues with VPN and 'standard' a
windows install.

something like http://www.pocketwatchsystems.com/pockethub/overview.html
looks good for mobile access

Subject: [ukha_d] ADSL router + wireless

My ADSL is now enabled and I have NO router. V poor organisation.... I
want to order something today. I was leaning towards the Draytek Vigor
2600G 54Mbps ADSL Wireless Router, mainly due the the number of people who
seem to have it on this list. I am such a sheep.....

Off the top of my head I will probably want to do the following things once
everything is working.

- video conferencing
- telnet/tivoweb into my tivo ( from the office )
- run a webserver
- run some sort of ha home server.
- anything else ... ?

So the first question is will I have any problems with the vigor doing
thes=
e
things ? Is the vigor really worth the extra =A360.00 over something like
=
the
Linksys WAG54G - which seems to do the same sort of thing.

Thanks in advance

Jeff
