I was actually thinking of a network that had vpn that I could try to
connect to - not a site - sorry.
I think I'll just wait until I've got it setup at home then try it from
work
(which is where I'd mainly use it)

I did find a couple of Palm OS vpn ('clients'?) so I think 'on the move'
access may be a goer :-)

David,

Normally, the only places that block such traffic are companies who want to
restrict what their employees can do. As such, there isn't really a
"site"
that could help - you'd need to go onto those networks with a suitably
configured PC and test.

However, the bigger problem in web cafes and the like is whether you can
actually install the VPN client software in the first place.

Most large companies "lock down" Windows so that the end users
can't change
configuration or install software. Indeed, some companies are now blocking
ActiveX and Java-based websites :-o

Of course, if I'm going into such a place as a networks/security
consultant,
then I can normally arrange for such policies not to apply for me :-) But
it's not a general solution :-) :-) :-)
