I bought one for my mother as she is sick of changing CD's all the time -
and she loves it!!

This came with the latest firmware (bought it 2 weeks ago from RL Supplies)
and connected straight away to the server software and after a few teething
troubles - mainly the aerials on the AP - it always finds the server and
plays no bother.

All she has to do now is rip all her CD's to MP3's, catalogue and store.

Ok, other devices have better community support and are hackable, but if
you
just want something that works out of the box, and is cheap (You can wire
it
in as well as attach it wirelessly) - then look no further.

I've got an MP101, using MusicMatch as the server software as I found the
the Netgear s/w to be very unstable (frequent lock ups). Also, update the
firmware, it makes the remote a lot more friendly amongst other things.
