Theres also a very big possibility I will have a ProLiant 5000 to get rid
of
soon too.

Its currently an NT4 PDC, running a small (15 users) network for a local
business... However, times are now much better and I've convinced him buy a
new box (Dell PowerEdge 4600, Dual Xeon, 6x73GB drives, etc) to run SBS
2003.

The spec of the box is (I think)

Pentium Pro 200
384MB RAM
5 (I think) 9.1GB drives
1 4.3GB Drive (boot)

Currently configured in RAID 5 and been running for 18 months + without
problem. Also installed is a HP 24GB DAT Drive, which he might also be
willing to part company with (he's got a new DLT drive now)

Oh and I'll throw a copy of SmartStart in too :-)

Give us a shout if your interested... due to its (massive) size it would
have to be picked up from the south Manchester area though.

I cant guarantee when it will be available... but it will be soon!

Hth

Matt,

I would recommend this guy

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3096375985&ssPageNa
me=ADME:B:SS:UK:1

only problem is that you have to collect, interesting place though.

I've bought 4 units through this guy, no problems and very helpful.

No connection, just a happy customer...

Nigel

Computers I'm very good at, Home Automation, on the other hand, I'm
right at
the bottom of the learning curve about to delve into the delight of
C-Bus.

Cheers

Jonathan youa re a miracle worker! I think this is exactly what I
need! Just found out taht my array (3161) is self terminating and
SCSI-IDing so I jsut have to plug it in and it should all work! yay!

Still open to offers of cheap proliants!

Cheers everyone,

Matt

P.S

I'm sure you didn't lead me up the garden path Ho Yin - I think
everyone has a better idea of SCSI than me! :)--- In
