Re: Re: xPL/xAP an alternative to C-Bu$ ?

Personally, I think the white single gang modules are effectively
indistinguishable from normal wall switches. So I am not entirely sure I
understand the hoo-hah about these. But then I haven't really developed
CBUS
switch lust. Stainless and blue LEDs will be soooo passe in just a few
years
:-)

The Idratek website hints at more options on the body colours for the
single
gang module --- including the possiblity (under investigation) of using
paint techniques to get an exact colour match. Think about that. It'll be
like the Dulux advert. SWBO engagement or what: "Just think love, if
we fit
these modules we can match your wonderful decor ideas you got from Changing
Rooms ...", <gulp>.

I don't think they have a colour solution for the facing material though,
but it's "just" a screen print, so it's down to tooling costs and
minimum
runs.

As for the multi-function panel: Yup, it's ugly. We know it, they know we
know it. It really wouldn't surprise me for new casing to become available
at some point. With any luck, in a retrofittable form for any early
adopters. *cough cough*. And remember: you don't *have* to use it.
