Ben,
You can get the USB computer interface part as a sample, by coincidence
mine has arrived today. The part number is DS9490R, ordered through http://www.maxim-ic.com/samplescart.cfm
I had to wait a little while because "The DS9490 is a part that needs
approval from the Business Manager before we can sample it". Not quite
sure why, but the delay was about 12/13 days from ordering to delivery.
Pretty good for a free item :-)
Just need to find some software for it now, all I've found so far (for
Windows) is for other adaptors (does it matter ?)

extends to the addressable sensors (iButtons / Temp probes) and not
the computer interfaces.
Do you have a part number for the USB 1-wire interface? I found the
serial version . . . but u cant get samples of that one.
