Ahh just shows you only look at the pics Frank, and thankfully it looks
like
the roving reporter missed the 'click to enlarge' opportunity of myself (or
took pity) ;-)

I have put a tentative availability date for the HomeVision to C-Bus
Gateway
in the review - and I guessed at 10 weeks - this is purely a software
module
as the hardware is finished and already 'off the shelf' so to speak. I also
need the 3.4 HV ROMs to be released by CSI.

Just a quick point on the xAP UKHA review - I'll post some more to the
review discussion area..

xAP Desktop - each xAP desktop is individual and totally customisable by
the creator ( and end user), you can use your own images throughout or
tweak
existing ones. You can have up to 20 of them running at once. So already
every Desktop can be skinned to look just as you wish :-) - and indeed the
fact that the existing ones look different is because they have been
created
that way often by different people. I for example prefered a wider SliMP3
display (40 characters) some coloured text cf the standard 20 char green
one.

xAP 'one click installer' - Having one installer for everything 'xAP' is
always going to be problematic as so many people write their own
applications in different languages/environments and the
scope/combinations/latest_version thing would become a nightmare. However
we
are trying to make xAP accessible to more and more people through
installers, documentation and exciting and immediately useful applications
like xAP Desktop which is now released on www.mi4.biz and the soon to be
released xAP HomeSeer plugin.

xAP HomeSeer Plugin.. opens xAP up to the most popular commercial HA
software. Unfortunately this got missed on the review but provides for
HomeSeer to be used as a xAP script engine, and xAP devices to be
automatically recognised, status tracked and controlled by HomeSeer PLUS
(and here's the biggie) all HomeSeer devices to become xAP enabled -
instantly we have axpanded our xAP enabled hardware list to all devices
that
have a HS plugin !
