Are you prepared to use a PC application to achieve this John - eg
HomeSeer ? If so then you can script any action / interaction with any
C-Bus group using the xAP to C-Bus gateway . A full range of triggers
and timed events can also be set up - indeed anything you can do to a
HomeSeer device you can do to a C-Bus group. A very complete script
language is available within HomeSeer. This could be useful if you have
more complex scenrios for 'logical' occupancy tracking.
I am not sure how you have connected the 'alarm' to C-Bus and what
control you have here, or indeed what system it is. From what you say
having an alarm engaged by a bus coupler and a relay output seems rather
vulnerable.
