As Kevin says it works as long as you manual sync on one of the machines

www.ipodlounge.com & www.ipodhacks.com are good resources for help

Ipod Agent seems work okay for me

It is possible and works OK, however you cannot copy from the Ipod to the
PC

with itunes.

I elect to manual sync.

There are many apps that enable Ipod-PC transfer.
