I know of the guys that started ebuyer over here =85 and I had the
displeasure of one of them being my manager for 18 miserable months =85
and customer service is NOT on there agenda. Making lots of money and
empire building is.

I would never use them again by far the worst experience I have had
buying
on the net, it is made all the worse because you can't talk to real
people
they all hide behind the 'e-note', so even simple conversations become
protracted. In the end I had to recover my monies from my credit card
company.

/touches wood/
So far I've had good service from ebuyer.
On the two occasions I'e had to send things back (CF card failed
after 2
weeks, and an IDE to USB that wouldn't)
They have responeded without quibble and replaced the items, it can
take
a
while for questions to be answered and returns to be sorted.
However their packaging certainly isn't great, with little or no
padding
in
the box, bag, or cardboard envelope :-S
You pay you money and take your chance, and with ebuyer the savings
can
be
significant ;-)

after a bit more research I'm about to push the button on an order for
upgrades similar to that suggested by Ho Yin below ( I pushed the boat
out
a
little bit and spent a bit more on the graphics card). Overall, price
wise
I
couldn't beat ebuyer on this occasion. I've never bought from ebuyer
before
and the level of comments on their site about DOA's and returns
frighten
me
a bit. Should I be worried - I know there's a few regular users of
ebuyer
on here?
TIA
