On the other hand, I've had three big Seagate drives fail on my personal
machines in the last 18 months, so I'm never buying Seagate again. They are
very quiet however :)

I've started my own testing, I now have couple of Maxtors, a Samsung, a
Hitachi (IBM) and two still functioning Seagates...

As usual YMMV...

Seagate only for me at the moment - in the past I've had problems with
Western Digital. I had a phase of IBM but none of them lasted more than =
a
couple of years. They were also damn noisy. The Seagate Barracuda drive=
s
are practically silent.

Hi All

I know some of you on here are buying HardDrives all of the time, and
probably know what is good.

So I am looking for a 200 or 250Gb drive to put in an external
Firewire case.

200 Gb Drive seem the best Gb/=A3 at the momentt at about =A370.

So what is good and where should I buy from?

Cheers

Ben
