A veritable wealth of information.
G.
1. DLP is better than LCD (I'm selling mine BTW !). Contrast ratio is
prob. the most important factor.
2. Depends on budget. I have a Denon 3800 - fantastic picture quality, or
for more money you can get DVI enabled players so it's pure digital all
the way - needs a DVI projector.
3. Amp - as option2 - all down to budget. I have a self-calibrating
Pioneer 7.1 unit.
4. Do you NEED a screen ? (http://palmlodgecom/lookup/cinema)
5. See 4

I know that this subject has been done before but its only now that I've
been given the go ahead -:) (might be something to do with the hot tub
that's
recently arrived that Swmbo just loves!!)
Basically what I have is:
Room 4.5m x 2.4m, currently second sitting room.
Have done some reading and what I think I need is:
1. Projector: DLP; XGA; High contrast; Lumen? - not too concerned as I can
make the room very dark; quiet.
2. DVD player
3. Multi channel amp
4. Electric screen (width 160cm)
5. Blackout rollerblind that I can automate
Any help/advice would be so welcome (I've never been here before).
Oh and budget of course - well less than 5k would mean that I've spent
less
than the hot tub so might leave room for further HA purchases -:) - unless
she finds out how much the HV-Pro was.
John
