I must be in cloud cuckoo land.

"I" don't have a Denon 3800, I have a Pioneer AXi-5 with the=20
self.calibrating microphone thing.

I'm losing it. The Denon 3800 is my mate's I helped him buy. He's off=20
round the world at the end of the month and has moved in with us for a few=
=20
weeks - I helped him moved his bits which is why I was thinking about
the=20
Denon.

Quick - need a Bulk Buy to bring back some sanity.

Should be more a matter of taste than budget ... Data projectors are=20
usually
calibrated differently to projectors intended for video - data projectors
are calibrated so that more of their response is at the top end of the=20
gamma
curves as they tend to be used in brightly lit rooms where brightness and
brilliance is what you are after. Video projectors should be calibrated so
that they can display shadow details (and other low level information)=20
more
effectively.

Erm ... No ... DLP is definitely a fixed number of pixels too - where'd ya
get that info from?

Check out the Pioneer AX-i series - the AX-10i is stunning but=20
(officially)
=A33k however it has smaller brothers which seem to carry many of its
strengths.
