Sunlight is a problem with all of these colour screens at the moment, A
simple cardboard hood can help quite a bit.
The nice thing with TomTom is that the voice directions are pretty clear so
it's not too much of a problem.

I have the Palm T3 versio and am very impressed with it, I'm hoping that
the T3 update isn't too far behind the Go update.

If I were buying from scratch I think I'd suggest the TomTomGo, as a
seperate dedicated unit makes for a fuss free experience

Thanks Jon.

My Dad bought one of these for a trip to France. Only problem I found with
it was it's nearly impossible to see in bright sunlight. However, it's a
superb little tool, and as you point out nicer than the PDA alternative.

The speed camera thing makes it even more attractive. Got it from Expansys
for around =A3425 inc vat from memory.
