Im my case using the USB UIRT Hopefully will extend my ir library from 256
(max in homevision)
to many many more.....
The USB UIRT does all the hard work like Homevision ie ..learns ie signals
encodes and decodes them.........When the USB UIRT receives an ir signal
the plugin "xpl uirt" reports the signal to the xPL network...The
User can
create a Determinator to watch for this particular xpl message and then
send
ir to a FirM Zone by sending  two xPL messages first one to xPL-FirM ....ie
tx zone number and then a second message to xPL UIRT  (with a short delay
between) the actual ir signal which gets passed onto the USB UIRT....Even 3
pieces of hardware is involved its quite quick....

Hardware .....USB UIRT......FirM Serial.......FirM

Software.......xPL UIRT.....xPL FirM.....Determinators...
