I have the PLV-Z2 myself, as well as an AV switcher source on S-Video=20
for Sky and Xbox, and a component feed off a pioneer 575 (which is=20
absolutely stunning in how much difference that made with=20
progressive) it has a direct SVGA feed from my AV PC (HTPC or=20
whatever you want to call it)
Anyway, I built the AV server long before I had the projector, and I=20
used an ATI AIW 9000.
The problem with this is that it did not support the native=20
widescreen resolution of the projector ( 1280 x 720 )
I have now upgraded my main machine and moved the nvidia 4600 into my=20
AV server, which does support this resolution natively.
Now I though that you could coax the projector into displaying a=20
resampled 1280 x 1024, but I never found out how to do it, and I am=20
much happier displaying in its native resolution anyway.
In its native resolution it truly is great, the posibilities are=20
still embrionic in the back of my mind but there is so much that=20
becomes fun to play with, wall sized real time "disco" party
graphics=20
anyone?
What I am trying to say is that whatever graphic card you purchase,=20
check first it will support 1280 x 720.
Unfortunately it starts a chain of purchases I am having difficulty=20
in stopping, now waiting for my bluetooth DiNovo keyboard etc, must=20
stop buying things before SWMBO goes all financial on me!
Can even justify a sound meter, I mean what is the point of having=20
such a display if you haven't balanced your speakers, and they are=20
looking a bit tatty, could do with an upgrade and a new amp, no stop,=20
help, my credit card is making phone calls all by itself!!!.....
