Firesafes that are suitable for digital media are available but yes,  they
are more than £10

Tim could, I suppose, bung a load of intumescent mastic around that nice
hole and that should at least hold up for about half an hour or so.

But, I've gotta say, that sticking the drive in the safe is at least going
to give it a fighting chance - Certainly more so than if it wasn't in the
safe!
