OT: Background Music

Way OT... (sorry Win2K list, this is two in one day. I will discipline
myself accordingly)

My wife had a great idea for a birthday present for our very young
niece... She has bought some picture books, and she intends to have the
kids read them out loud, and record the kids reading them. Edit down
those recording, throw them on CD, and you have your own "read
along"
books/CD's, but with voices that you know.

I think she's pretty clever...

I have a DAT, some good mics, CoolEdit Pro 2000, and a CD Burner.
Hardware - Check!

But, it becomes my job to find some mild
background/intro/outro/page-flip music & sound effects.

Simple MIDI would work fine, or just about anything else...

We're not making any money, or even disseminating the CD's outside of
our family, so anything that is licensed for "personal use" or
"free
use" or
"I-Don't-Care-As-Long-As-It-Doesn't-Piss-Off-The-Artist" use
would be fine.

Suggestions? I'm asking the Win2k list since y'all are on the net all
day long. And the UKHA list because you guys are the biggest repository
of UBI's (useless bits of information that you'd only use on a quiz
show) that I have ever met (consider that a compliment...).

Thanks in advance,
