Connect your mobile phone to your home phones

I got sick of missing mobile calls because I'd left the phone in the
other room when wandering around the house, and got this gadget to
solve the problem. Thought it might also be of interest to some:

http://www.phonelabs.com

It allows mobile phones to be interconnected with fixed line phones
around the house, using bluetooth. Although it's not obvious from the
website description, you need a PBX to make it work properly. (As well
as your own 9V 240V wall wart). The socket on the back of the
dock'n'talk behaves like a normal phone socket, complete with dial
tone, only it routes calls to/from your mobile. When plugged into an
FXO port on my asterisk box, I can make and receive calls with my
mobile from any extension in the house, including my desk phone,
whenever the mobile is within bluetooth range of the base station.
Very convenient!

Patrick
