Fw: XBOX - HA for Power ? Works !

  • Subject: Fw: XBOX - HA for Power ? Works !

It works ! :-)

Stripped back the wires (1 + 2) on the front panel PCB, and connected
those in parallel to the Comfort relay board. I've set a CBUS Switch on
the Lounge DLT to trigger a response, which pulses the output for a second
(needs to be long for a switch-off)

The XBOX can now reside in Node 0 - but wont be up and running until I get
the new KAT5 modules - hint hint Keith on the cable :-)

It's the simple things that make HA fun

Gareth
Suggestion if the voltage on the power switch is extra low
voltage
then mount a 3.5mm socket in a suitable location on th xbox and wire it in

parallel with the power switch..Put a 3.5mm plug on the 2 wire coming from

the dry contacts of your comfort board...

Doing this allows you to remove your xbox easily if needed without
disconnecting any wires....

It's my lack of understanding of electronics :-)

Not sure what you mean:

On the relay - you just use the dry contacts. Comfort supplies the correct
voltage etc to drive the coil in the relay. The relay board I have is
rated up to 5A (low voltage) - so plenty for doing what you want.
