what about a rain sensor but with a small heater? The snow collects
like rain in a funnel type thing, melts and drips onto the spoon? I
say spoon as the rain sensors I use are spoons that simply tip empy
the water and start collecting again. This sends a N/C pulse to a
counter. Each pulse is 1" I think. Obviously you would have to test
measures of snow to work the pulse out.
