Re: Another mini-Mac owner ;-)
Hi Tony,
I paid =A3137 inc VAT and delivery for some Crucial memory.
The Apple store are currently showing =A3220 fitted
In the spirit of fairness I have to hold my hand up and say I've got a=20
small problem with the mac mini at the moment although I hope it won't=20
put you off. Ever since installing the latest upgrade to the OS=20
(10.3.8), I'm getting the occasional application crash which is a bit=20
disconcerting. :-( It's fairly infrequent and doesn't impact on the=20
whole machine - in fact, the underlying OS appears rock solid.
I'm in discussion with some guys on the Apple discussions forum at the=20
moment and they are pointing the finger at the memory but I don't think=20
it's that as I've run the supplied hardware diagnostics and it sailed=20
through. It's not stopping me from using the machine - I just want to=20
get it sorted.
Saying that, I'm still supremely happy with the mac mini and still=20
think that Apple are on a winner. I read somewhere that the analysts=20
are estimating 900,000 to 1,000,000 mac minis are likely to be sold in=20
2005!
Cheers
Don
