Our office is all Mac and we've avoided 10.3.8 like the plague.
Although I expect the vast majority of mac users have upgraded to .8
without problems, there have been some absolute horror stories
surrounding this release, and many Mac-related websites have been
reporting problems and offering workarounds/solutions for a number of
issues. Slow start-up times and "kernal panics" on
shutdown/start-up
are fairly common.

I'd advise either staying with, or reverting back to 10.3.7, until a
more stable upgrade is offered.
