Hi Darren,

Whilst I applaude your offer to collect donations could I suggest that
people who wish to donate do it via the DEC website instead

www.dec.org.uk

By using this website you will be able to tick the "Gift Aid" box
which
allows them to claim back the tax you have paid on the money.

"If you pay income or capital gains tax, equal to or above the amount
we
claim back, we can get the tax man to top up your donation, by paying us
the
tax you have already paid on this donation. This makes your donation worth
an extra 28p for every pound, at no extra cost to you."
