Have you tried connecting without the /console command to use another
session.

Using /console connects you to the console session, so selecting logout
will logout the console session.

Alternatively you could just disconnect, this will leave the session
logged in but the screen will be locked.

Subject: [ukha_d] Win 2003 server, Remote Desktop and HA apps

I use a Win 2003 Server as my HA PC. I've been using the Remote Desktop
Connection to administer it and it's great.

However, when I log in and out remotely (in console mode with the
/console switch), the user is logged out of the local machine until
manually logged in locally again. This causes problems with my text to
speech prog (ACE TTS) as it needs to be logged in to work (all the HA
apps are actually still running although the desktop is locked out).

Anyone know how to get the local server PC to log back in again after a
remote session ends without doing it manually? Any other ways around
this?

Ta,

Paul.
