42" .. You will have to go for Plasma.

LCD's at the moment are really only for smaller sized screens.

Subject: [ukha_d] Plasma or LCD TV recommendation / advice

I am soon going to have to buy a new TV and am thinking of a Plasma or
LCD screen.

I have the following must haves in my list:

-Built in or attachable speakers (I don't want to have my amp on all the
time)

-1080 HDTV

-Compliance with the Sky HDTV that is coming (HDCP I think?)

I would also like the following features:

-Built in tuner, preferably digital

-42" ish

-Progressive Scan

-Controllable via a computer (RS232 interface maybe??)

I have trawled about on the internet and can not find a lot, the only
one I have found that seems to cover most of the bases is an NEC one:

http://www.dealtime.co.uk/xPF-PlasmaSync_PX_42XR3A

Has anyone got or seen one of these? If so are they any good?

Does anyone have any recommendations? Anything glaringly obvious I
"need" feature wise that I have missed?

Cheers,

Rob
