The noise is a big thing - the current Cerbera did have no cats and
a sports exhaust (exuberant previous owner). At well over 110dB it
was just too much, so had the cats put back in. It's much more
reasonable now and can be taken on the track without problem. Still
pops and bangs the whole time...

Basically the Speed Six (as found in all TVRs post the Cerbera), the
AJP (in the Cerbera and Challenge cars) and the Rover V8 (Chimaera,
Griffith and older) all sound totally different - I miss the burble
of the V8 in my old Chim, but the wailing of the AJP at 6k revs is
awesome. Then again, a Tuscan at full chat can sound good too (as
you discovered today).
