Certainly that's how we've done it. All my C-bus is in a sub-main run from
a
non-armoured 32amp feed in to an RCD (MCB? Sorry not good on the
terminology?) on the main consumer unit under the stairs.

My only real issue is that we now have a very large electrical installation
in my office upstairs. This was originally a bedroom and I have concerns
that it will be an off-putting factor if we were ever to sell the property.
Your hardly going to want a kids room with 3 large consumer units in it!!!
;-)

To move it all now would be a big job but might be essential if we were
ever
to sell-up!

OK, I see. In that case I think I'd be tempted to put *everything* in N0
- you've then got no confusion as to where certain things are wired
from. That said, running the cooker circuit from the utility area also
makes sense. Are you automating every light and socket, or only some ?
