Nlackberry's don't support push either, it is a myth - well certainly on
the UK GPRS network.

The device works by polling the server ever 3 minutes by sending a 1
byte packet and getting a 1 byte packet back saying you have mail or
not. Then downloading the mail!

I know it does work differently in the US.

They don't support 'Push Mail'  However you can configure the interval
at which your pop3 is polled for messages down to 1 minute. I did not
know that about Blackberry devices though so that goes some way as to
explaining why people like them.

LOL, I'm currently using an Orange M1000 (the one without the keyboard,
whatever that's called in XDA terms) and a Blackberry, since the XDA
devices don't currently support push mail (unless someone wants to
correct me :)

I feel like Batman though carrying all this kit! (just glad I don't have
to pay for it!)
