Subject: Earth Bonding for Central Heating with Polypipe
I'm having some electrical work done and was told by Mr.Sparks that I would
have to have my central heating earth bonded. I told him that the earthing
would not be contiguous as I have some poly-pipe in the upstairs bathroom
(installed when we ripped out the old bathroom and whacked in a new towel
rail). He still insists that I have to have this done - fair enough, he's
the pro and should know what he's talking about but, I can't see how the
earthing is going to work unless he earths the copper on both sides of the
polypipe.
I think he is going to earth on the the mains water pipe changes from 25mm
blue pipe to copper and on CH flow pipe.
Is this right/sensible..?
ta.
