Steve
generally lop isn't too much of a problem to remove.....
first remove the program using add remove programs...it is probably called
one of these but look for anything suspicious....
Window Searching
Window Active
Browser Enhancer
Lop.com
Lop Search
Ultimate Browser Enhancer
Search Plugin
you should then run ad-aware and spybot search & destroy (let S&D
make a
registry back up just in case) ...run them both in safe mode (no point in
running them in normal mode).
you could also try the removal tool at
http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/files/lopremover.exe
there will still be entries left in the registry but they wont do any harm
please note the usual disclaimers apply use all these tools etc at your
own
risk
When you are done use the immunise and tea timer options of Spybot S &
D to
prevent further infections

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] LOP
My beloved daughter appears to have picked up some malware called Lop
according to Ad-aware but it seems to be a bit persistent. I have
tried to use Ad-aware to delete it - with little success. A bit of
googling suggested a few other ways - none of which work, Does anyone
know an easy way to remove it?
