Training to be a BT Engineer ? Oh well there are worse things you could
do...

I think there are a few people on the list who attended the BT
Apprenticeship, Keith D was definitely one... Not sure it will be the
same as when Keith and I did it though, 3 years of hard graft and deep
study... When I was there we were called TTA's (Trainee Technician
Apprentice) although the older guys called us YITs (Youth in Training) I
dread to think what they call you now...

Let me know when you have the box on the wall and powered ready for
programming and I'll try to help some more...

I would have thought you would have gone the IP route with Asterisk or
is the revelation for that 'Retro Feel'?

I haven't a clue about the serial interface - I ma training to be a BT
engineer at the moment so I will ask around at work and see what come
up.

I didn't realise that the PBX was so modular - I probably won't have
the music board either then.  Any other good sources of info for this?
