Yep.

I was being a donut - all my CAT5<>RJ45 modules are 586A standard -
not B.
And everything else in the house is wired to B.

So I kept my A units - and just changed the wiring at the NTE5 end (the
Master Socket). Everything is now working fine.

did you get this sorted out? I've looked through the archives and
can't seem to find anything and I've got the same problem with a new
phone and socket.
