going to start making enquiries to both the Perspex place and some local
metal work shops ! let's see what they can come up with :)

I'd make a guess that it's less than an hours work for a fab shop,
provided you give them drawings of what you want. I got a small amount
of aluminium welding (specialist job), with grinding afterwards for
30quid IIRC, although I supplied the materials. It was something like 8
inches of welding I think.

I'd guess at 50 quid for the frame with them supplying materials, maybe
more if you want it in stainless. It'll probably be a really small job
for them and the place I went to was very keen on readies. If it's a
simple carbon steel frame, any old garage should be able to knock it up
for you. Think about how you'll fix the perspex to the back of the frame
and get the fab shop to weld on the appropriate brackets etc. Or just
drill through and fix with nice looking bolts.

Try these guys for perspex fabrication. I've not personally dealt with
them, but some colleagues at my company have. Trust me, we had some
pretty odd requirements so they should be able to sort you out :-)

They'd be more than competent to re-make your existing door, I'm sure.
Prices? I don't know, our stuff was with a Corporate budget ;-) and I
wasn't directly involved either.
