You don't need to do anything with it. Once you own a Linux PC you qualify
to wear a penguin on your shirt, and spend all day moaning about Microsoft

Seriously though, I'd use a PC like that for things that require it to be
on
24/7 PC (since it doesn't take much juice).
Attach a large external drive via USB and you could use it for backup
(anyone can copy their files to it at any time since its always on - you
can
then just backup from that central place instead of remembering to do each
PC individually).
If you install an IMAP mail server like Mercury, you can access your email
from any PC without having to worry about sychronising it all the time (you
can then spam-filter it all in one place too)
How about using it to serve music files?
