RE: [OT] Wedding Photographer
Just shop around - My mate got married last year, and was (imo) ripped off
royally, paying a cool grand for the photographer to turn up, be surly as
hell, insult various members of the wedding party (including making
comments
about a guest's weight that had her leave the wedding in tears). They then
paid more for a wedding album of photos than it would have cost to fly them
out to Jamaica for a week.
In stark contrast, the guy who is doing my Sister's wedding this year
(after
doing an absolutely cracking job on her husband to be's brother's wedding)
is charging a little more for the day, but without any of the copyright
nonsense - one set of "proper" photos and a CD with all of the
images
included in the deal.
As always, it pays to shop around a little, and don't accept things just
because "that's the way it has always been". ;)
Ian.

This is usual, they do not want to give you the rights to the photos as
they
can carry on making money by producing prints.
Keep looking. We found a photographer in the UK who shot our whole wedding
in Digital and just gave us the CD at the end of the day.
Effectively we just hired him for the day
