Someone else suggested maybe it is just a bit of the plot from
"American
Gods", a book by Neil Gaimain, and I HAVE read that, but not sure....
It wasn't really a story about a serial killer, I think it was more to do
with new cop in town syndrome and he started investigating a missing girl
and found out there were a lot of "runaways" more or less one a
year around
the same time of year and it turns out to be a serial killer.
