On a power consumption related note, Gordon Laing has details his
experiences using a Pentium M processor to reduce power & heat in this
months PCW. Makes for interesting reading even if it proves significantly
more costly for both processor and MB which kind of works against the
spirit
of this list and it's love of BargainsT!

(I recently moved my file serving from a 250W Athlon
box to an old 70W PIII box to try and reduce my 65GBP
a month electricity bill).
