Better check the new provider supporting number porting to the type of

Thats not quite true, the PAC code is valid for a set number of days. If
you
don't use it (i.e. give it to another network) within that time limit it
just becomes useless and you need to request another PAC code. The phone
should continue to work fine if you don't use the code.
