Re: Sky Gnome

No, the channel change is all done via the RF2. AFAICT, it just uses
the standard IR codes - (ie. the same ones I'm already using in
http://www.heenan.me.uk/control-sky-from-pc/
).

The RS232 is only an output from the sky box, the gnome never sends
anything to the sky box via RS232.

The RS232 port on the digibox outputs packets containing current
channel number, current channel name, current date/time, date/time
current program started, name of current program, description of
current program. It does this regardless of whether a gnome is
connected or not. (It's 57600 8N1.)

It also has various packets to show system state ('tuned to a pin
protected channel', 'in menus', 'dialogue on screen', 'interactive
application runnings').
