Aerial cables and connectors

  • Subject: Aerial cables and connectors

I'm having trouble getting a consistently reliable aerial connection to
my PVR to record Digital TV. The rotational position of the plug lead
into the wall socket from the roof aerial seems to influence the quality
of the aerial signal, with a quarter turn changing the quality between
perfect and unwatchable.

Is there any reason not to change my wall socket and plug leads to the
threaded satellite type connectors? F type I believe. Hopefully these
would have better quality connections and be less sensitive to
orientation.

Has anyone else done this?

Thanks,

Simon
