Hi Chris

OK. Thats the type I was on about.

WHERE ?

As long as it is on the IDC connectors of the Faceplate (marked A & B
or 2 &
5 cant remember which!) then it is properly filtered. If it is connected to
the screw terminals marked A & B on the rear section of the NTE5 then
it is
wired DIRECTLY onto the incoming line and you *shouldnt* even be touching
that bit.

Again, should be OK as it gives Comfort priority over the line.

You do have too any variables in there though to say easily where the noise
is coming from.

Assuming you have wired correctly to the faceplate.
If you have access to an ordinary Analogue CORDED telephone....

1. Disconnect the line going into Comfort and try the phone in the front of
the faceplate.

OK - so far so good
Noisy - faulty ADSL faceplate or line fault

2. Reconnect Comfort and plug into your socket on Comforts output

OK - so far so good
Noisy - fault in Comfort

3. One by one, reconnect all the other things except DECT and use the
analogue phone

OK - Not a lot wrong with the line
Noisy - which item caused it

4. Retry the DECT

OK - Fault has gone AWOL. Wait for it to reoccur and start over again
Noisy - Domething is affecting the DECT. Try relocating the base station.

5. Still cant solve it.... buy some flags and resort to using Semaphore :-)

Keith
