Any half decent headset will do the job with Skype. Plantronics make some

the better headsets =96 mine is stereo with a noise cancelling mike, good

general music & DVD=92s as well as for Skype and cost around =A330.

Actually a post for a friend, he wants to buy his son a skype type
package (Inc hardware) to run on his laptop whilst at university.

(He's got NTL cable in his digs if that makes a difference)

Any recommendations for a simple, reliable hardware package?
