[OT] No install virus-checker?

Anyone know of a virus checker that doesn't install anything onto the PC,
or, if it does, it's completely removed again?  Ideally something at DOS
level, but something that runs out of Windows will also be OK.  Being bang
up to date isn't really a priority, have a zero install footprint and being
speed is.  Free would be nice, but as this will be used in a commercial
(workshop) environment, unlikely I guess.
