There is some limitation in terms of their functionality. They can't
trigger scenes!

There is also a Din Rail Aux unit which would get around the 1m (2m -
3m seems to work)limitation. I can't remember if this unit has the
scenes limitation though.

As a digression, I use Bus Couplers with the Comfort Alarm/Automation
controller and you can get around the limitation by storing the scenes
in Comfort.
