That should be fine - but if you end up with the Sky+ recording two
programs at once it'll go horribly wrong and your tivo will probably
end up recording a screen saying 'you must cancel one of the
recordings to watch live tv'.

You might consider getting them to wire up your old sky box and
getting a second card (10 quid / month), specially for the Tivo.
