  • Subject: Cloning monitor outputs - one widescreen, one not...

I posted a question on TGB about this (http://tinyurl.com/9ppmd) but
i'm now thinking the knowledge on UKHA might be more suited to
answering it...

I want to output Windows Media Centre over DVI to a (widescreen)
Pioneer plasma, and to the composite output of an ATI Radeon 9250 at
the same time - i.e. cloned. The composite output is needed as my
whole-house AV uses composite video.

The problem I am having is with resolutions - there's no common
resolution that allows MCE to be full screen on both the plasma and
other screens over composite.

Assuming this can't be handled in software, is it possible to
somehow manipulate the second VGA/composite output to add top and
bottom borders, this rendering a widescreen image onto a 4:3 screen?

Cheers,

k
